CREATING VIRTUAL COMMUNITIES

The Internet allows the use of communications technologies to promote collaboration between distributed communities of learner.  The current section describes the  language learning activities whose pedagogical purpose is to promote autonomous learning behaviours by enabling geographically distant language learners to work with native- and non-native speakers of the target language, providing them with an engaging and motivating task with a concrete and meaningful outcome.
