WELL Case StudiesThe WELL Project supports initiatives to embed the use of telematics in the language curriculum. It has made funding available to individuals or small groups of academics in HEFCE-supported institutions (UK) to encourage uptake of new technologies to support language teaching and learning by people who are relatively inexperienced. The purpose is not to sponsor "state of the art" developments. Work must involve students. This is an opportunity to assess whether using telematic support makes a positive contribution in a specific learning context. Also, there must be local dissemination of the findings; i.e.: a summary of the project must be presented to colleagues, either in a brief written report or in a Staff Development workshop. For each project completed, a short report must be sent to the WELL project team, reflecting the experiences of the students and the academic(s) involved.
